Description: Ruby-crowned Kinglets are olive-green birds with a prominent white eyering and white wingbar. This wingbar contrasts with an adjacent blackish bar in the wing. This illustration was made with alcohol ink markers and colored pencil. It was made after watching someone bird band a Ruby Crowned Kinglet.
Description: Ruby Rose Langenheim is an Australian model, actress, television presenter, and DJ. She first worked as a model and MTV Australia host before her breakthrough role as Stella Carlin in season three of Netflix's Orange Is the New Black in 2015. She also portrayed Kate Kane/Batwoman in the Arrowverse, including season one of Batwoman.
Description: This comes from a photo I had taken in the backyard a few years back. As I was deciding on which image to select for processing it became clear that “The Hummingbird of Color” was going to be the chosen one and got its chance to begin its transformation and now gets a chance to get out of the file folders and shine for all to see. A stained-glass effect developed through the vector art building process. I wanted a bright, playful stop-motion image of a flying hummingbird to highlight the wings in color and have the bright throat of the bird shine.
