British Tv Shorts
Description: Introverted, but willing to discuss British TV. That about sums it up for us. You're not open for random small talk with every stranger who passes by, but you'll happily go on for hours about the latest Sherlock or Midsomer Murders or Broadchurch. You could practically write a thesis on Gavin & Stacey or Doctor Who. It's the perfect gift for any British TV fan.
Description: The phrase originated in an episode of the British television comedy series The Young Ones. The episode, entitled "Cash", was first broadcast in 1984. The segment of dialogue, where Neil is composing a letter to his bank manager to request a loan, is as follows; Neil: I know, why not "Boomshanka"? It means, "May the seed of your loin be fruitful in the belly of your woman." Mike: He'll never understand "Boomshanka". You'll have to write the whole thing out. Neil: Right, okay, here we go. "Darling Fascist Bullyboy: Give me some more money, you bastard. May the seed of your loin be fruitful in the belly of your woman, Neil."
Description: One of the most popular and highest rated Father Ted episodes is 'Speed 3' (Series 3, Episode 3) featuring Dougal as an aspiring Milkman, with a milkfloat sabotaged by a disgruntled Pat Mustard. During the episode, we seen Dougal wearing a 'Craggy Island Creamery' logo while driving a milkfloat with 'Milkmen do it on your doorstep' poster (with 'do it' taped over). This t-shirt (and other merchandise) features a close replica of the cremaery logo and poster sen in the episode.
