Description: 860 AM WAYE was on the air in the Baltimore, Maryland market from 1955 to 1984. The station maintained a loose rock 'n roll format for most of their existence, but in the '70s, took on a true Album Oriented Rock format. By the end of the '70s, WAYE made the odd choice to switch to Big Band music, and just a few years later would go off the air. An interesting note about WAYE is that they only operated at full power during daylight hours to protect the signal of CJBC in Toronto, Ontario.
