Description: Despite being the 23rd most populous city in Texas, Carrollton has maintained a quaint, small town vibe that many municipalities aspire to, but in the early '70s, this once rural community became an unexpected destination for skateboarders from all over the country. Wait, what? Because everything is bigger in Texas, at some point, somebody decided to build what was the world's largest skatepark in Carrollton - the Free Flight Skatepark. It was larger than anything California had to offer at the time and drew skaters in from coast-to-coast to experience the new park. From what we can see, the park ran for at least a decade, as there are records of events, competitions, and contest results into the early '80s before the trail goes cold.

The detailed chrome trim, period-correct Magnum 500 wheels, and iconic front grille with twin fog lamps make this piece pop against the black backdrop, while the motion streaks beneath the tires emphasize speed and muscle heritage.

TWE would eventually begin making inroads into North America, but were eventually absorbed by a larger carrier network and the Trans Western Express name was retired in the early 2000s.
