Description: The MGB is a two-door sports car that was manufactured and marketed from 1962 until 1980 by the British Motor Corporation (BMC), later the Austin-Morris division of British Leyland, as a four-cylinder, soft-top sports car. It was announced and its details first published in September of 1962. Variants included the MGB GT three-door 2+2 coupé, the six-cylinder sports car, and coupé MGC, and the eight-cylinder 2+2 coupé, the MGB GT V8. During the early '70s, BMC ran an ad campaign playing up the car's sporty, fun persona by way of the 'your mother wouldn't like it' tagline. The ads resonated with consumers, especially young women, who definitely didn't want something that their mother might actually approve of.
Description: The Fresno Falcons are a defunct minor league hockey team. They were charter members of several long standing leagues in the western United States including the Pacific Southwest Hockey League and the West Coast Hockey League. In their final years, they were members of the ECHL (formerly East Coast Hockey League). The Fresno Hockey Club, originally known as the Flyers, was founded in 1946 as a charter member of the Pacific Coast Hockey League and eventually folded in 2008.
Description: The Houston Aeros were a professional ice hockey team in the World Hockey Association (WHA) from 1972 to 1978. The Aeros became one of the most successful franchises in the WHA. They won four consecutive Western Division titles, from 1973–74 to 1976–77 seasons, and finished second in the Western Division in 1972–73 and third in the league in 1977–78. They won the AVCO World Trophy in 1974 over the Chicago Cougars and in 1975 over the Quebec Nordiques, winning both series in four-game sweeps; and lost in the 1976 AVCO finals to the Winnipeg Jets, also in a sweep.
Description: The Richmond Robins were a professional ice hockey team based in Richmond, Virginia. They were a member of the American Hockey League for five seasons from 1971–72 to 1975–76. Their cross-state rivals in the AHL were the Virginia Wings. The Robins were previously known as the Quebec Aces, until the parent club, Philadelphia Flyers transferred the Aces to Virginia after the 1970–71 season.
