Pliosaurus Socks

Description

Pliosaurus is a genus of large, carnivorous marine reptiles that lived during the Jurassic period, about 145 to 156 million years ago. They were part of the pliosauroidea superfamily, and were some of the largest predatory marine reptiles of their time, with some species reaching lengths of up to 15 meters (49 ft). Pliosaurus had a short, broad skull, with large, sharp teeth and powerful jaws. They were probably apex predators in their marine environment, hunting and eating other large marine reptiles and fish. Pliosaurus is often referred as "short necked pliosaur" as it has shorter neck compared to pliosaurid like liopleurodon.
