Sequel in progress, please stand by Socks

The first part apparently did well enough that someone decided we needed another one, because apparently one round of nonsense was not enough. Unfortunately, nobody knows when the follow-up will arrive. The schedule has disappeared, the paperwork is multiplying, and the person responsible for updates keeps saying, “Almost done,” with absolutely no evidence to support that statement. Progress is happening at a speed best measured with a calendar. Until further notice, please remain seated, keep your expectations somewhere between “maybe” and “not a chance,” and enjoy the thrilling sound of nothing happening. The next installment could arrive tomorrow, next month, or after everyone remembers where the file was saved. Stay tuned. Or don’t!
