Description: Developed and released in 1983, Juno First is a fixed shooter arcade game with a slightly tilted perspective, similar to 1980's Radar Scope. The game presents a set number of enemies per level, but they do not make a gallery formation like similar space themed fixed shooters. Instead, the player's ship can move forward and backward (in addition to left and right) to hunt enemies in an orientation that is vertical, but has some horizon-oriented tilt. This style of gameplay would be re-used in a later shooter, called Axelay. The player destroys waves of enemies to finish levels. Starting formations vary from stage to stage. In addition, the player can pick up a humanoid, upon which the screen will have a red tint.
Description: Rush'n Attack is a hack and slash/run and gun video game developed and released in American arcades in 1985. The Cold War era game's name is a play on the phrase "Russian attack." Gameplay has players assume the roles of the special operations Green Berets who are infiltrating an enemy military base to save POWs from execution by firing squad. There are four stages, each ending with a special group of bosses. The Soviet Armed Forces that attack throughout every stage are Soldiers, Gunners, Supply Runners, Combat Specialists, Jetpack Soldiers, German Shepherds, Parachute Gunners, Gyrocopters, and Flame Throwers. Rush'n Attack was ported to home computers and console game systems, becoming a critical and commercial success.

Description: Jungle Hunt is a side-scrolling action game developed and released for arcades in 1982. It was originally distributed as Jungle King, then quickly modified and re-released as Jungle Hunt due to a dispute over the player character's likeness to another character. Jungle King, along with Moon Patrol released a month earlier, is one of the first video games with parallax scrolling. The player controls an unnamed character moving through horizontally scrolling scenes to rescue a woman from cannibals by jumping from vine to vine, swimming a crocodile-infested river, and avoiding rolling rocks. In the rebranded Jungle Hunt, the player character is an explorer, sporting a pith helmet and safari suit in place of the loincloth-wearing character.
Description: Jumping Flash! is a 1995 platformer game developed by Exact and Ultra and released in 1995. Presented in a first-person perspective, the game follows a robotic rabbit named "Robbit" as he searches for missing jet pods scattered by the game's astrophysicist antagonist character Baron Aloha. Robbit must explore each section of Crater Planet to retrieve all of the jet pods, stop Aloha, and save the world from being destroyed. The game was designed as a technology demonstrator and was revealed in early 1994 under the provisional title of Spring Man, and holds the world record as the 'first platform video game in true 3D.'

Description: The Famicom (short for Family Computer) was a gaming console released in 1986 exclusively for the Japanese market. Taking inspiration from the home computer market, the Famicom utilized a proprietary diskette system with removable "Disk Cards" that looked similar to 3.5" floppy disks, which allowed games to be produced and sold for considerably less than previous formats. The somewhat obscure Diskun (or Mr. Disk) was the mascot for the system who's design also took a cue from the disk format. The system is largely considered to be the precursor to the 8-Bit consoles that would take the world by storm throughout the late '80s, changing home gaming forever... and for the better.
Description: Ripcord Games began as a publishing label of Panasonic Interactive Media in 1997, and is probably best known for Postal, its debut game, and the Spec Ops series. In 1999 Ripcord Games was spun off from the parent company and sold, but continued to operate as it had previously, but as a privately held company. The company partnered with Southpeak Interactive for publishing, but when Southpeak suddenly dissolved in November 2000, so did Ripcord's much needed funding.
