Description: Silo 18, known only as The Silo to its residents, is an underground bunker complex serving as the last refuge of ten thousand people. Buried deep underground, no one knows why the Silo was built or who built it. Outside the Silo is a toxic and apocalyptic wasteland. No one knows how old the Silo is, though it is said to be at least 140 years old. Silo 18 contains 144 levels, connected by the Stairwell, a spiralling staircase that runs down the center of the facility. The Silo is divided into three general areas: Up Top, the Mids, and the Down Deep. Several levels are given over to crop production and livestock rearing, and communal Cafeterias are located on several levels.
