Description: Founded by Donald E. Frederick and Nels B. Nelson in 1891, Frederick & Nelson was known as Seattle’s premier department store. The business expanded to include home delivery of goods, a tea room, and ready-to-wear men’s and women’s fashions, a great deal of which was very much on-trend and from upscale designers. The owners built a reputation for elegance and customer service that was beyond compare in the Seattle area. The Christmas season at Frederick & Nelson was a very special time with stunning window displays, over-the-top decorations, and numerous events held in-store to celebrate the season. This early '60s design is reminiscent of the great holidays of the past that are now just a memory from a long-gone Seattle icon.

Description: Pez is the brand name of an Austrian candy and associated manual candy dispensers. The candy is a pressed, dry, straight-edged, curved-corner block 15 mm (5⁄8 inch) long, 8 mm (5⁄16 inch) wide and 5 mm (3⁄16 inch) high, with each Pez dispenser holding 12 candy pieces. Pez was invented in Austria and later exported worldwide. The all-uppercase spelling of the logo echoes the trademark's style on the packaging and the dispensers, with the logo drawn in perspective and giving the appearance that the letters are built out of 44 brick-like Pez mints (14 bricks in the P and 15 in each of the E and Z).
