Cardinal Socks
Description: From my original watercolor painting of the same title. This cardinal painting was commissioned as a continual commemoration of the life and love connection of two people. The cardinal is often used as a symbolic bird representing positivity amidst the troubles people experience in life. It is also a key figure in various folk and spiritual beliefs. For example it is a widely held belief that a sighting of a cardinal represents a sign of a visit from a loved one who has passed. While nothing is inherently supernatural within this image, the original was painted to serve as a shrine and memorial to the strong bond of love between two people.
Description: A bright red cardinal is perched on the left side of the design. Below and to the right of the cardinal, the text "O.C.D." is displayed in large, semi-transparent dark blue letters. Beneath that, the word "Obsessive" appears in a smaller, faint font. The words "CARDINAL Disorder" are prominently displayed in bold red capital letters.
Description: Bring a quiet piece of the forest into your day with this hand-drawn red cardinal illustration. Styled in a detailed linocut and block print aesthetic, this bright songbird perches on a leafy branch dotted with forest berries. Rich crimson red, olive leaves, and warm brown branches give it a rustic, handcrafted feel that captures the peaceful stillness of early morning trail walks and bird watching with a warm cup of coffee in hand. Designed for bird lovers, hikers, campers, granola girls, and free spirits who feel most grounded in nature.
