Description: Bright Eyed Osprey ©Debra Martz It had no plans of going anywhere, outlasting bird watchers and photographers hoping for that taking flight shot. Captured along the 4800 ft boardwalk at South Padre Island Birding and Nature Center the last day of February. Description: An Indonesian sarong woven in Ikat technique and dyed in indigo. Ikat is a resist dyeing technique by means of binding either the warp or the weft fibres prior to dyeing - or both, in which case it is called 'double ikat'. The patterns achieved with this technique are characteristically 'out of focus'. Ikat weaving is widespread in West Africa, South America and South East Asia.

Their cheek hair is lighter than the hair on top of their head. Adult males have a mane and infants are born with a black coat. Canon 500D, zoom lens.
