Description: If you visit Verona, it is difficult to miss the Arena di Verona, the Roman arena built in 30 AD. It's apparently the best preserved of such structures in the old Roman world. At almost 2000 years old, it is still in use as a venue for opera performances. We weren't able to get tickets, sold-out, but from the balcony of the place we were staying, you could happily sit and listen to the performances. It was the most delightful experience.
