Description: On-Line Systems in was founded in 1979 in Simi Valley, California, by husband-and-wife, Ken and Roberta Williams. As a programmer for Big Blue, Ken had planned to create business software for personal computers, including the TRS-80. While looking through a host system of programs, discovered the text adventure Colossal Cave Adventure and encouraged Roberta to join him in playing it, and she was enthralled by the game. The pair studied other text adventures, though Roberta quickly became dissatisfied with the text-only format and realized that graphics could enhance the adventure gaming experience. With Ken's help with some of the programming, Roberta designed Mystery House, inspired by the novel of the same name.
Description: The Dungeonmaster is a gleefully bizarre example of a sci-fi/fantasy anthology film that refuses to play by its own rules. Divided into seven distinct story segments, each written and directed by a different person, it’s disjointed, and often incomprehensible, but full of imagination. The story is about a demonic wizard who challenges a modern-day computer programmer to a battle of technology vs. sorcery, with the programmer's girlfriend as the prize. The film features an appearance by the heavy metal band W.A.S.P. and is largely known by cinephiles for the line of dialogue "I reject your reality and I substitute my own." Filming began in 1983, but the film was shot and edited in 1988, but never completed.

Description: Amiga was a family of computers produced by Commodore between 1985 and 1994. The original model is one of a number of mid-'80s PC's with 16-bit or 16/32-bit processors, 256 KB or more of RAM, mouse-based GUIs, and significantly improved graphics and audio compared to previous 8-bit systems. Amiga featured a custom chipset consisting of several coprocessors that handled audio, video, and direct memory access independently of the CPU. This architecture gave the Amiga a performance edge over its competitors, particularly for graphics-intensive applications and games.
