Description: Sod Los Angeles is a conceptual project considered a work in progress. Sod yourself a safe space ... Sod, sweep, clean or clear your own little corner of earth. A place you can reference when times are hard and things seem overwhelming. We all need a calm corner. Taken from the idea of monuments, and those that have been removed, I consider the footprint they leave behind. Monuments are built to memorialize great deeds or important figures. Contestable as they may well become, they are larger than life and meant to remind us of past events long into the future. Sod LA can be everyones personal monument. Build a monument for your own moments and find solace in a square.
