Description: The Sandown Clown was a strange being encountered by two young children vacationing at Lake Common, Sandown, Isle of Wight (UK) in May of 1973. Following a sound like an ambulance siren, the children wandered across a footbridge over a stream, and met a curious, unidentifiable being that has been described as "a cross between a clown, a robot, and an alien". It was a shy, but friendly being, and spoke kindly to the children for almost half an hour before they returned to their parents. It seemingly vanished after the encounter, and has never been seen again.
Description: The Mongolian Death Worm is one of the more mysterious, yet popular Asian cryptids. Known as the Olgoi-Khorkoi in Mongolia, the name translates to “intestine-worm.” The creature got its name from its appearance and length. The creature is said to be red in color, and long, resembling a cow’s intesintine, hence its name. The creature is said to remain hidden under the sand for most of the year, except for June and July. It is truly a spectacle, when it does come out and feed. The creature is said to rise up from out of the ground, exposing itself completely. Description: A fashion illustration inspired by the Fresno Nightcrawler, a cryptid first sighted in 2007 in Fresno, CA on surveillance footage of a man’s front yard. It has been described as a ghostly pale, very tall pair of pants, or a white semi humanoid figure with no arms and extremely long legs. Sightings of similar creatures were reported in Yosemite National Park in 2011, as well as in Montana and Poland. Although some sightings have proven to be hoaxes, the original footage has yet to be disproven, and so the mystery remains. My design was inspired by the description of the Fresno Nightcrawler as a “tall pair of pants”, which reminded me of the high waisted sailor pants popular among women in the 1930s and 1940s.
