Description: David Lee Roth (DLR) is an American rock singer and former lead singer of the hard rock band Van Halen. Known for his energetic stage presence, DLR fronted the band from 1974–1985, in 1996, and again from 2006 until their disbandment in 2020. Some say DLR was the primary reason for Van Halen's success beyond Pasadena. He suggested the band's name, promoted them, and protected them financially.
