Boardwalk & Baseball Socks
Main Tag:

Description: Boardwalk and Baseball was a theme park built near Haines City, Florida, at the south-east corner of the Interstate 4-US 27 interchange. It replaced Circus World at the same location, and was owned by Harcourt Brace Jovanovich Park Group (now Harcourt, a division of Reed Elsevier). It opened in April 1987, and closed January 17, 1990. The park recycled many of Circus World's rides and exhibits. The petting zoos were removed, the rides and shows were rethemed, and Baseball City Stadium was built on the site. Although the park was considered superior to its predecessor, it was predicted to fail by industry observers at the grand opening. Its relatively standard rides were considered no match as a Walt Disney World competitor.

Sveden House Smorgasbord Distressed Socks
Main Tag:

Description: The now defunct Sveden House made chicken wings famous before they were famous! Along with the tasty wings, the Sveden House was known for their apple fritters, baked chicken, bread pudding, carrot/raisin salad, glorified rice, salad bar, roast beef (carved for you at the end of the buffet), and their famous Swedish meatballs. Female employees were required to wear a uniform that resembled something a Swedish maid might wear: blue ruffled dress, nylons, white apron, white puffy-sleeved shirt, and white shoes. Nowadays, uniforms like these would be considered ‘sexist’, causing them to be picketed and banned!
