Description: The Grumman F-14 Tomcat is an American supersonic, twin-engine, two-seat, twin-tail, variable-sweep wing fighter aircraft. It was the first such U.S. jet fighter with twin tails. The Tomcat was developed for the United States Navy's Naval Fighter Experimental (VFX) program. The F-14 was the first of the American Teen Series fighters, which were designed incorporating air combat experience against MiG fighters during the Vietnam War. The F-14 first flew on 21 December 1970 and made its first deployment in 1974 with the U.S. Navy aboard USS Enterprise (CVN-65). The F-14 served as the U.S. Navy's primary maritime air superiority fighter, fleet defense interceptor, and tactical aerial reconnaissance platform into the 2000s.

Description: The biggest, fastest, baddest single-engine jet fighter ever! That was the F-105 Thunderchief. "Thuds" were the USAF's go-to strike bomber during the Vietnam Was, and could carry a heavier bomb load than a WWII B-17. They also had the highest number of gun kills during the war. F-105 crews flew against the most dangerous and heavily defended targets during the war, and nothing could match their blistering low altitude speed. I've put my rendering of the F-105D on a tee shirt that you can proudly wear in remembrance of one of the greatest fighters ever flown by some of the bravest men to ever get into a cockpit.
Description: The He 162 officially called the Sparrow or Spatz in German was a single seat Jet fighter fielded by the German Luftwaffe at the end of the second world war. Apart from rocket fighters like the Me 163 this was the fastest conventional aircraft in the air at the time topping out at 562mph at 20,000ft. Unfortunately however for its pilots it was unreliable and very difficult to fly.
