Barn Owl Socks
Description: This is my second owl watercolour piece after enjoying working on the first so much. For whatever reason they translate really well to paintings. This time I worked on a barn owl, there's a lot less detail in these types as opposed to the spotted eagle owl, so I tried out a new background technique to help the animal stand out more. I think this piece has a fantasy based quality to it, mixing the subject matter and the background, it wasn't my initial aim, but I do like the end result.
Description: This tower, patched unevenly with black ivy, arose like a mutilated finger from among the fists of knuckled masonry and pointed blasphemously at heaven. At night the owls made of it an echoing throat; by day it stood voiceless and cast its long shadow. Original designs @OrriArt www.orriart.com
