Glory Socks
Description: A powerful and iconic artwork paying tribute to Dio, one of heavy metal’s most legendary voices. The design features the singer in vibrant contrast, his flowing golden hair illuminated as he raises the “devil horns” hand gesture he helped immortalize in metal culture. Behind him, the bold red gothic lettering of “Dio” commands attention with regal authority. The blend of vintage textures, radiant colors, and dramatic pose captures both the mystical and heroic aura that defined Dio’s music, cementing his eternal legacy as the voice of power, fantasy, and pure heavy metal.
Description: A Hand of Glory is the dried and pickled hand of a male person who has been hanged, often specified as being the left hand, or, if the man was hanged for murder, the hand that did the deed. Hand of Glory combined with a candle made from fat from the corpse of the same malefactor who died on the gallows would have rendered motionless all persons to whom it was presented. It is a fascinating and macabre historical practice that has inspired a lot of 19th century stories. I have shown the hand of glory with a cute little red snake wrapped around it and an eyeball in the palm. I do enjoy drawing eyeballs... This design was hand drawn, ink on paper, and finished digitally.
