Illness Socks
Description: Spoonie Slogan Shirts! Answering all those annoying and commonly asked questions that you don't have the energy to answer. Can be used as a short, simple and stylish ice breaker at social events, a comfortable inside joke to wear at home or just a huge middle finger to the world... it all depends on the general mood of the day.
Description: Society and governments treats mental health and physical health so differently. There should be no difference in the perception, recognition and treatment of mental illness. Illness is illness and our psyche is part of our bodies. Why would a psychological screening not be covered when a physical screening is?
Description: Green Version. A design for all chronic illness warriors just like me! Illustrated by me (@yourachingart_cfs). A woman sitting in a meditating position, surrounded by symbolic items representing the psychical and phycological torment of living with a chronic illness. This design also demonstrates how strong and brave you need to be to survive every day, fighting an invisible battle. This design was made to show love and support for the chronically ill community. Hope you like it! x
Description: What is Spoon Theory? Spoon Theory is a way to conceptualize the amount of energy that a person spends doing different types of activities. Spoons represent a sort of energy currency that help those living with chronic illness or disability (affectionately called “spoonies”) to manage their energy, effort, and recovery. Spoonies need to make decisions about how to “spend” their spoons, and they must be diligent about recovering and replenishing their spoons before spending more. Spoon theory was created in 2003 by blogger Christine Miserandino, who lives with Lupus. Copyright 2024 Veronica Foster / Mermaid Ronnie, All Rights Reserved
