In glorious Black & White, here's the progenitor of the Giant Robot genre, Gigantor (or as he's known in Japan, Tetsjujin 28), the star of one of the first Anime series to come to the USA, way back in the 60s! This rendering is in the style & color scheme of the old B&W cartoon! THIS version is a take on the opening titles, as they appeared in Japan, bearing a recreation of the title.
Description: I was attempting to design a mobile suit that was specifically themed after Historical European Martial Arts and this was the final product. While it isn't as close to something more dedicated to HEMA or historically inspired, it's still a pretty sick giant robot. And that's all we really need it to be at the end of the day.
