Description: Cymbals Eat Guitars was an indie rock band from Staten Island, New York. Leaded by Joseph D'Agostino the band developed their own personal brand of indie rock with a lot of emotional vibes. Influences of grunge, emo, punk, shoegaze and posthardcore were there all along, but the band went on experimenting with some soul vibes too. Along with Titus Andronicus, Cloud Nothings, Japandroids and Beach Slang, Cymbals Eat Guitars were one of the best examples of 90's indie-rock brought to the present by new generations. Three remarkable albums, Why There Are Mountains, Lenses Alien, Lose and Pretty Years are a testimony to that.
