Description: After the rear-engine Chevrolet Corvair was outsold by the conventional Ford Falcon in 1960, Chevrolet completed work on a more conventional compact car that would eventually become the Chevy II. For 1962, Chevy II launched its "Turbo Thrift" inline-six 230 cu in engine. The Nova name was the higher-spec variant of the Chevy II, but this name eventually replaced the Chevy II name in 1968/1969.
