Description: Deepwater Horizon was an ultra-deepwater, dynamically positioned, semi-submersible offshore drilling rig owned by Transocean and operated by BP. On 20 April 2010, while drilling at the Macondo Prospect, a blowout caused an explosion on the rig that killed 11 crewmen and ignited a fireball visible from 40 miles (64 km) away. The fire was inextinguishable and, two days later, on 22 April, the Horizon sank, leaving the well gushing at the seabed and causing the largest marine oil spill in history.
Description: This black t-shirt features a clever, pun-based design in orange and white, perfect for anyone in the oil and gas industry. It showcases multiple oil rig silhouettes and hard hats, typical symbols of the trade. The text "I'M AN OIL MAN AND I LOVE CRUDE HUMOR" playfully uses "crude" in two senses: referring to crude oil and unrefined humor. This witty wordplay highlights a common characteristic associated with oilfield workers – a straightforward sense of humor. It's a great casual wear option, allowing the wearer to express their professional identity with a lighthearted and self-aware twist.
Description: The Kerr-McGee Corp. was an American energy company involved in oil exploration, crude production, natural gas, perchlorate and uranium mining and milling. Founded in 1929 as Anderson & Kerr Drilling Company in Oklahoma by Robert S. Kerr and James L. Anderson, the firm changed its name to Kerr-McGee Oil Industries in 1946 when Dean A. McGee, former chief geologist for Phillips Petroleum, joined the firm. Kerr-McGee initially focused on offshore oil exploration and production, being one of the first to use drill ships in the Gulf of Mexico, and later, one of the first to use a spar platform in the region. In 2006, Anadarko Petroleum acquired Kerr-McGee in an all-cash transaction totaling $16.5 billion, plus $2.6 billion in debt.
