Location of the new plant is south of the railroad tracks, directly across from the Sullivan Hotel. A. J. Wilcox is the distributor of the gasoline. This company was sold to Carter Oil a subsidiary of Standard Oil Co. of New Jersey in 1944.

With these funds, including an additional US$33.5 million from an additional common stock issue, Sinclair retired several promissory notes and prepared to weather the Depression.

Description: Homer Johnson held a job with the Indian Oil Company as the treasurer and ended up in Lawrenceville, Illinois, where he and his brothers began the process of starting up Johnson Oil. For $6,000,000, Gaseteria Oil Company purchased Johnson Oil Company in 1956. The Illinois and Michigan stations were converted to the Gaseteria or Bonded Brand, and the Oklahoma assets were sold off to Deep Rock. In 1957, Russell Williams, the owner of Gaseteria was killed in a plane crash. This tragic turn of events forced the sell of Gaseteria to Standard's Oklahoma Oil Company Division where the stations were then branded Oklahoma. In 1960, the stations were finally branded Enco under Standard Oil of New Jersey.

Joullian formed Westoc Oil and Gas and began construction of a pipeline to supply natural gas from the West Edmond gas field to Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company’s (OG&E) new Mustang Power plant. On May 5, 1950, Westoc began operations of Mustang’s first pipeline. In 1951, E.C. Joullian formed Rock Creek Oil and Gas to build a pipeline from Sohio Oil Company’s Elmore gas plant to OG&E’s new Arbuckle power plant and this pipeline became operational in April 1953. During the remainder of the decade Westoc was merged into a new company called Oklahoma Resources Development Company which then merged with Rock Creek Oil and Gas to form Mustang Fuel Corporation.

Deep Rock Gas and Oil 1913 Socks

Description: Established in 1913 by Chicago investment banker H.M. Byllesby, Deep Rock Oil Company was a petroleum company best known for its network of service stations throughout the Midwest. Deep Rock pumped and refined its own crude in Oklahoma, producing gasoline, motor oil, and other lubricants that were sold exclusively in its branded service stations. In 1955, Kerr-McGee acquired Deep Rock, primarily to expand its service station network. Kerr-McGee continued to operate Deep Rock gas stations for several years, but eventually rebranded most of them to Kerr-McGee.

Description: The Magnolia Petroleum Company was an early twentieth century petroleum company in Texas founded on April 24, 1911 by the Sealy family of Galveston, as a consolidation of several earlier companies. Standard Oil of New York (Socony) exchanged its stock for all of the Magnolia stock (except seven shares for the Directors) in December 1925 though it continued to operate as an affiliate of Socony. Socony merged with Vacuum Oil Company in 1931, becoming Socony-Vacuum Oil Company. Magnolia Petroleum continued to operate as a subsidiary of Socony-Vacuum. In 1959, Magnolia was fully incorporated into the Mobil division of Socony-Vacuum, which later changed its name to Socony Mobil and, ultimately to Mobil Oil Corporation.

Description: Atlantic was founded as the Atlantic Petroleum Storage Company in 1866 in the then-fledgling oil business. In 1874, the company, now known as Atlantic Refining, was purchased by John D. Rockefeller and integrated as part of Standard Oil. The acquisition gave Rockefeller a major presence on the East Coast in his growing empire. In 1886, after acquiring many other oil companies, the Standard Oil Trust organized territories for their companies. Atlantic's territory covered the entire state of Delaware, the southern half of New Jersey, and the southeasternmost corner of Pennsylvania, essentially giving Atlantic the entire Philadelphia area.
