Orange Socks
Description: Orange: Orange is the New Idiot — An image of a round, orange figure with an angry expression, wearing dark pants and a white shirt with rolled-up sleeves. The character has the text "ORANGE IS THE NEW IDIOT" written across its body, and is holding what appears to be a small piece of paper in one hand while making a fist with the other. The character is set against a solid background. This is a satirical political cartoon making a play on a similar titled TV show using a visual metaphor to criticize political leadership through caricature. The cartoon uses exaggerated physical features and color to convey its message about political dissatisfaction
Description: Orange County is often divided into just two regions, North and South County. South County is typified by gated, master-planned communities. North Orange County, on the other hand, is a collection of vibrant, highly diverse, post-World War II communities. I made this map and a primer of the region for my series, "California Fool's Gold." https://ericbrightwell.com/2012/12/05/california-fools-gold-a-north-orange-county-primer/
