Description: 'Airplane II: The Sequel' is a 1982 American parody film that was released on December 10, 1982, as a follow-up to the 1980 film 'Airplane!' This version of the poster art was used during the film's December release, while alternate versions featured the aircrew hanging off the back of the aircraft. Though haunted by combat memories, heroic pilot Ted Striker agrees to return to the cockpit to man the controls of the XR-2300 lunar shuttle, known as Mayflower One, America's first commercial spacecraft. As soon as the shuttle lifts off, an electrical malfunction sends the ship veering off course. A shaken Striker struggles to guide the shuttle through a treacherous asteroid belt, tame it's failing computer systems, and stop a mad bomber.
Description: The Lockheed A-12 was a high-altitude, Mach 3+ reconnaissance aircraft built for the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) by Lockheed's Skunk Works, based on the designs of Clarence "Kelly" Johnson. The aircraft was designated A-12, the 12th in a series of internal design efforts for "Archangel", the aircraft's internal code name. In 1959, it was selected over Convair's FISH and Kingfish designs as the winner of Project GUSTO, and was developed and operated under Project Oxcart.
Description: Sundowners - Fighter Squadron 111 (VF-111), also known as the Sundowners, was a fighter squadron of the United States Navy. Originally established as Attack Squadron 156 (VA-156) on 4 June 1956, it was redesignated VF-111 on 20 January 1959, the day after the original VF-111 was disestablished. The squadron was redesignated VF-26 on 1 September 1964, redesignated as VF-111 on 17 September 1964 and disestablished on 31 March 1995.
