Principle Socks
Description: Formulated by Werner Heisenberg in 1927, his uncertainty principle is one of the cornerstones of quantum mechanics. In its most familiar form, it says that the more precise the measurement of position, the more imprecise the measurement of momentum, and vice-versa. Thus, one can never know with perfect accuracy both of those two important factors which determine the movement of one of the smallest particles, its position and its velocity, at the same instant.
Description: I made a video entitled “The Anatomy of Ruffled Feathers” https://youtu.be/-ilcQ1Q3tTk?si=VpDDDqCRavxjuDTO) on my YouTube channel where you can see these actual Abert’s Towhees engage in this heated conflict. I thought this saying goes with it as well. It is an esoteric maxim: nothing moves without there first being some kind of friction.
Description: In Physics, this Archimedes' Eureka moment is called the Archimedes Principle, which states that when a body is immersed in a liquid, it experiences an upward buoyant force, which is equal to the weight of the liquid displaced by the body. In fact, buoyancy explains why some objects float, and others don't.
Description: John Foxx (born Dennis Leigh, 26 September 1948) is an English singer, artist, photographer and teacher. He was the original lead singer of the band Ultravox, before leaving to embark on a solo career (with Midge Ure eventually taking his place in Ultravox). Andy Kellman of AllMusic noted that Foxx "was one of those cult figures known more through the recordings of others rather than those of his own making. His detached, jolting vocal style inspired mainstream and underground artists across the decades, from synth pop superstar Gary Numan to electro-techno duo Adult".
