Description: Domino Sugar Refinery On the Mississippi River Louisiana by Debra Martz When seeing at a distance and even when nearing the refinery, I thought it was something of the past. And then the narrator aboard the Creole Queen Historic Cruise began to tell of its history. To my surprise it is still operational and has been operating on the banks of the Mississippi River since 1909, now producing 7 million pounds of sugar per day. This Louisiana refinery is one of the region’s largest employers, providing more than 400 direct jobs. But what makes it special to this designer is the time in the mid-90's when I and my fellow film students brought their student film reels to WRS for processing and printing! WRS Motion Picture Laboratory in Pittsburgh no longer exists, but it was a legendary place for so many of us young artists. This logo re-creation was the request of the great Josh B! Description: In 1822, Joseph Fourier showed that some functions could be written as an infinite sum of harmonics. This method called fourier series allowed us to construct very complex signal by only using the summation of sine and cosine signal. Furthermore by taking some statistic method, the scientist figure out that this complex signal can be transformed into frequency domain, so the analyzing or utilization of signal was becoming more advance. Nowadays application of fourier transform can be found everywhere. Your smartphone, your face recognition, radio, stock exchange, heart monitor, etc. And finally it is time to found its application in your daily outfit. Grab it fast.

Description: This is an original artwork - hand drawn and translated into a vector artwork. I am a diehard Sixers + Joel Embiid fan and wanted to capture the "Phantom of the Process," his swagger, and love of trolling. The vector design of the artwork gives the piece a unique edge / feel. Background is a translucent multi primary color speckled pattern - mimicking static noise from a TV. I added "Processing" to the piece - Joel's own given nickname / saying. I placed the text upside down because it is hard to be a Philadelphia sports fan (it hurts so much sometimes) - BUT we never give up. And I want the wearing to be able to look down and read it for themselves.
