Description: Germfree Adolescents is the 1978 debut album of English punk rock band X-Ray Spex, one of the most original groups in British punk. With tuneful, saxophone-driven songs and strident vocals from Poly Styrene, the songs were guitar-driven punk-pop that combined outrage and aggression with a sense of alienation and disenfranchisement. It contained the UK hit singles "The Day the World Turned Dayglo" (No. 23 in April 1978), "Identity" (No. 24 in July 1978), and "Germ Free Adolescents," which reached No. 18 in November 1978.
