Description: Era Records was an independent American record label in Hollywood, California. It was founded by Herb Newman and Lou Bedell in 1955 as a pop, country and western, and jazz label. In 1959 Bedell sold his interest in the label to Newman. Era had a No. 1 hit in 1956 with Gogi Grant's "The Wayward Wind" written by Newman. Musicians with hits on Era include Ketty Lester ("Love Letters"), Larry Verne ("Mr. Custer"), Donnie Brooks ("Mission Bell"), Dorsey Burnette ("Tall Oak Tree"), Art & Dotty Todd ("Chanson D' Amour"), and The Castells ("So This Is Love").
Description: Zoth Ommog Records was a German record label that was heavily focused on electronic and industrial music under parent label, Music Research. The company was established by German producer Andreas Tomalla in 1989 and later handed over to producer Torben Schmidt. The label released over 240 records between 1989 and 1999 across an eclectic artist roster.
Description: De-Lite Records, whose formal name was De-Lite Recorded Sound Corporation, was a record label specializing in R&B music from 1969 to 1985; Island Records now manages the De-Lite catalog. De-Lite Records was founded in 1967 by Fred Vigorito (né Frederick Gabriel Vigorito; 1922–2008), Fred Fioto (né Frederick Alfred Fioto; 1920–1999), and Ted Simonetti (né Ted Eddy Simonetti; 1902–1985).
Description: Old Town Records was a record label set up by Hy Weiss in New York City. It operated between 1953 and 1966, and was responsible for several R&B and doo-wop hit records. Weiss, who was born in Romania, lived in the Bronx from the 1920s, and began working as a furrier. In the mid-1940s, with his brother Sam, he started distributing records produced in California by Leon René, soon expanding into distributing records by other companies including Modern and Apollo. In 1953, he set up his own label, Old Town, taking its name, and its early stationery, from that of a wholesale paper business in Brooklyn for whom Weiss worked.
