Description: In the '50s, audio manufacturers employed the phrase high fidelity as a marketing term to describe records and equipment intended to provide faithful sound reproduction. Consumers found the difference in quality compared to the then-standard AM radios and 78-rpm records, and began migrating to high-fidelity phonographs and 33⅓ LPs. Audiophiles focused on technical characteristics and bought individual components, such as separate turntables, radio tuners, preamplifiers, power amplifiers and loudspeakers. Shops specializing in high fidelity sound began popping up, such as St. Paul, Minnesota's Dad’s HiFi. These shops not only stocked the latest equipment, but also sold the components that allowed enthusiasts to build and mod their systems.

The franchise stood out by hosting live band events, painting massive album cover murals on their buildings, and merchandising records inside actual fruit crates. Debuting on Hollywood Boulevard in 1975, they quickly expanded to Atlanta that same year. Peaches eventually grew to 50 locations in 22 cities with over 2,000 workers at its peak. Description: Nipper was a dog from England. He is best known as the subject of His Master's Voice (1898), painted posthumously by his second owner, Francis Barraud. The painting became an international entertainment trademark, with Nipper's likeness used across record labels, consumer electronics and entertainment retail. In 1898, three years after Nipper's death, Francis Barraud, the brother of Nipper's original owner, painted a picture of the dog listening intently to an Edison-Bell cylinder phonograph. He had recalled that Nipper had often appeared "puzzled ... to make out where the voice came from" when a phonograph was playing.
