Description: The 369th Infantry Regiment, formerly known as the 15th New York National Guard Regiment and commonly referred to as the Harlem Hellfighters, was an infantry regiment of the New York Army National Guard during World War I and World War II. The regiment consisted mainly of African Americans, though it also included several Puerto Rican Americans during World War II. With the 369th Infantry Regiment,[2] it was known for being one of the first African-American regiments to serve with the American Expeditionary Forces during World War I. Todays' lneage the 369th was re-formed into the present-day 369th Sustainment Brigade.

Description: In August 1865, the 4th Cavalry was sent to Texas. In December 1870, Colonel Ranald S. Mackenzie was assigned command of the 4th Cavalry, with orders to put a stop to Comanche and Kiowa raids along the Texas frontier. On 25 February 1871, Mackenzie took command of the 4th Cavalry at Fort Concho. A month later, he moved the headquarters of the regiment to Fort Richardson, near Jacksboro; some companies of the 4th remained at Fort Griffin and Fort Concho.

Description: The 12th Cavalry is a cavalry regiment of the United States Army. From 1901 until 1911, the regiment served posts in Texas, Georgia, and the Philippines. During the Cold War 3rd Squadron 12th Cavalry was assigned to the 3rd Armored Division in Germany as the divisional cavalry squadron. The 4th Squadron 12th Cavalry was assigned to the 5th Infantry Division (Mechanized) at Fort Carson, CO, in the 1960s and at Fort Polk, LA. A Troop of the 4th Squadron served in Vietnam with the 1st Brigade, 5th Infantry Division in Vietnam from 1968 to 1971.

Description: The 501 Parachute Infantry Regiment (501 PIR) was activated in Toccoa, GA in November 1942 where the young men who volunteered for hazardous duty were given basic training. They earned their paratrooper wings at Fort Benning in May, undertook unit training at Camp McCall in North Carolina throughout the summer and went on maneuvers in Tennessee thereafter. The 501 PIR, commanded by Colonel Howard Johnson (Jumpy Johnson), was attached to the 101st Airborne Division during WWII. They made their first jump into Normandy in the early morning hours of D-Day, June 6, 1944. After combat in Normandy, they returned to England to prepare for the jump into Holland on September 17, 1944.
