Description: Cherry 2000 is an American science-fiction film that was completed in December 1985, but not released until February 1988. The movie had a brief theatrical release that was met with mixed reviews before moving to home video a few months later. Set in the far-flung post-apocalyptic future of 2017, wealthy businessman Sam Treadwell finds that his gynoid wife has fried. Learning that the Cherry 2000 model is no longer made, he hires tracker Edith Johnson to locate an exact duplicate of Cherry in the lawless region of Zone 7. During their journey, Treadwell realizes that the perfect woman is made not of computer chips and diodes, but of flesh and blood.
