The bar closed in 1920 when prohibition came around, but reopened several doors down in 1939 in the building affectionately known by locals as the “Brick Store” which had previously been home to the Georgetown Grocery Company.

This slightly divey bar wrapped around a dance hall had just enough of a tawdry reputation to deliver the promise and kept Wayne County residents coming around for years for live country music 7-days a week.
