Description: Digital illustration drawn in Corel Painter with Smooth Airbrush, Chalks and various other Brushes. King Robert the Bruce at Bannockburn, Stirling in Scotland 1314 AD. This Battle took place between Armies from Scotland and England and resulted in a significant Victory for Bruce and the Scots. Estimates as to the size of Edward the II of England's force range from two to three times that of Bruce to only fifty percent larger. This Year, 2014, sees the 700th Anniversary of the Battle. My interpretation of this scene from Scottish History. I've tried to create an atmospheric feel.
