Description: When on a visit to Vancouver, we went to the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. While the walk across the swaying suspension bridge over the gorge is a highlight, the majesty is in the remarkable forest that surrounds the area. The park lies within the wider rain forest that predominates the west coast, where trees grow really tall. This image is of some mighty Douglas firs who compete with each other for light at their tops. Their trunks are so straight and so vertical, as if it's a race to get to the top. I love this image because of the way the trees converge to a distant vanishing point, each radiating from a hub, as if they are the spokes of a wheel.
Description: This design was inspired by the Jean Claude Van Damme, 1988 martial arts classic, Bloodsport. This deadly fighter is half Portuguese and Italian named Paco, who fights in the style of Thai boxing called Muay Thai. He is a fierce competitor in the kumite using elbows and knees to quickly destroy his opponents wearing pink trunks and the yellow sash.
Description: In this fantasy landscape scene, the last remains of an ancient stone structure stand in a forest clearing. Huge trees give shade to the remaining bricks of a broken road and columns of what was once a proud civilization now lost to time. Inspired by the works of the Hudson River School and Albert Bierstadt as well as long hours of playing Skyrim.
