Description: The HQ model replaced the HG Holden. It was the first ground-up redesign of the Holden line since its original release in 1948, and included an all-new body, chassis, and suspension. 'The HQ model Monaro's new coupé design had a much larger rear window and a squarer rear quarter window; it was somehow seen as not as sporty looking compared to the earlier HK-HT-HG series, but is often now considered one of the best looking body designs to come from an Australian manufacturer.' Description: Turn up the nostalgia and ride the airwaves with style. This “WSQK 94.5 FM — The SQUAWK Retro Van” tee is made for anyone who loves the bold attitude of old-school radio culture and classic van graphics. A striking blue broadcast van, sharp retro lines, and punchy typography make this design feel like a traveling FM legend — loud, proud, and built to stand out. Whether you’re into vintage aesthetics, radio nostalgia, road-trip freedom, or just love a graphic tee that actually says something — this one broadcasts personality at full volume. Wear it loud, like a signal that never fades. Perfect for retro lovers, collectors of broadcast culture, and anyone who appreciates 80s-90s van graphics with a modern streetwear edge.
Description: The Holden Sandman was a popular, customizable panel van and utility option package offered by Holden in Australia from 1974 to 1980. It gained popularity among young people, especially for its bright paint jobs, custom interiors, and V8 engine options. The Sandman was essentially a sporty version of the standard panel van, incorporating elements from the Monaro GTS, like bucket seats, a sports steering wheel, and rally wheels.
Description: The HT model replaced the popular HK Holden, carrying over the same body variants. Engine choices had some changes - six cylinder engines remained the same, but in the V8 option list was Holden's new 'home-grown' 308 cubic inch (5.0 litre) engine (and a smaller sister engine, 253 cubic inches (4.2 litre). The Chevrolet-sourced 307 cubic inch V8 was still offered, as well as 350 cubic inch (5.7 litre) engine replacing the 327 cubic inch V8. Some body modifications were changes to the rear quarter panels and rear window, as well as front grille and rear tail light changes. Manual transmissions gained synchromesh on first gear for six-cylinder Holdens.
Description: "Australia's Own Car" for 1966 was the HR model - another popular model for Australians. Available in sedan, station wagon, utility ("ute") and panel van bodies. The two six-cylinder engine options carried over from the previous model, but were increased in capacity - the 149 to 161 cubic inches, and the 179 to 186 cubic inches.
