Description: We had been staying in Alnwick, Northumberland, England, primarily to see Holy Island and then Bamburgh Castle. When leaving, we were driving when we noticed this delightful old church, St Michael's. Wikipedia tells me that it was built in the mid-1500s, so late middle ages, but apparently there's evidence of much older places of worship at that site. In England, the building is a Grade 1 Listed structure, meaning it is a "structure of particular architectural or historical interest deserving of special protection'. In this image, I was drawn to the colour of sandstone set against the blues in the sky. Then there's the stepped buttressing around the tower and the very welcoming doorway to the vestibule.

NirVANa Customs of Chula Vista was no exception, and was probably best known for having the largest selection of custom porthole windows in America. Manufactured on site, NirVANa's portholes were first class and were available in nearly 100 different shapes. In addition to their SoCal shop, they did extensive mail order through vanner and hot rod mags.
