The phoenix curves around the left side of the pattern with its wings and tail flowing back behind its body. The serpent snakes around the right side of the tear drop with its head curling back towards the center of the design. This beautiful design is a unique example of this ancient symbol for the balance of nature.
Description: This is original design for all those people interested in the internal arts, Chinese philosophy and/or yogic practices. This version of the yin-yang was designed by me many years ago for my taijiquan class t-shirts. I added the butterflies as I felt that it conjured up the characteristics of lightness, calmness and evasiveness. [Image is NOT distressed]
Description: this is a concept of dualism describing how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world and how they may give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another. In Chinese cosmology, the universe creates itself out of a primary chaos of material energy, organized into the cycles of Yin and Yang and formed into objects and lives. Yin is the receptive and Yang the active principle, seen in all forms of change and difference such as the annual cycle (winter and summer), the landscape (north-facing shade and south-facing brightness), sexual coupling (female and male), the formation of both women and men as characters and sociopolitical history (disorder and ord

Description: This unique yin yang design by artist Jeff Bartels features two lizards that are decorated with intricate lines and swirls. Each gecko’s feet are spread out in all directions making is look like it is climbing on the surface of the pattern. The two sides of the yin yang are inverted copies of each other which creates a beautiful balance within the design. This unique gecko pattern is a stylish interpretation of this traditional symbol for the balance of nature.
Description: One of Taoism’s most important concepts is wu wei, which is sometimes translated as “non-doing” or “non-action.” A better way to think of it, however, is as a paradoxical “Action of non-action.” Wu wei refers to the cultivation of a state of being in which our actions are quite effortlessly in alignment with the ebb and flow of the elemental cycles of the natural world. It is a kind of “going with the flow” that is characterized by great ease and awareness, in which — without even trying — we’re able to respond perfectly to whatever situations arise.
Description: Embrace a powerful and edgy message with our design featuring a skull holding a knife in its mouth, surrounded by roses and a candle, accompanied by the phrase "Roses Are Red, Candles Are Lit, Do No Harm, Take No Shit." This striking artwork combines gothic elements with a bold statement, symbolizing strength and defiance. The skull and knife represent the fierce resolve to stand up for oneself, while the roses and candle add a touch of dramatic contrast. This design is perfect for those who appreciate a mix of dark humor and motivational messages, making it a striking addition to any space and a powerful declaration of personal empowerment.
