This vintage design is loosely inspired by Samuel Leigh's "Urania’s Mirror", a boxed set of 32 constellation cards first published in November 1824. Bootes means, herdsman, plowman or ox driver. Canes Venatici means 'hunting dogs' and they belong to Boötes. Coma Berenices means 'Berenice's Hair' and refers to Queen Berenice II of Egypt, who sacrificed her long hair as a votive offering. Quadrans Muralis is a navigational tool used to calculate various readings, such as longitude, latitude, and time of day.
