Decency Tapestries

Description: A circular emblem with a dashed outer border. Inside, the words "RADICALIZED" and "DECENCY" are curved along the top and bottom respectively, in all caps red lettering. In the center, a red silhouette of a dove holds a green sprig with leaves in its beak. The phrase "BY BASIC" is written in smaller red text above the dove.
Description: A retro-style circular emblem on a black background. A red bird with textured detailing is centrally placed, holding a green sprig with leaves in its beak. White text in a distressed font curves around the bird, reading "BY RADICALIZED" at the top and "BY BASIC DECENCY" at the bottom.
Description: How was I radicalized? I was radicalized by the concept of militant decency. The idea that you can look at the flaws of this world, the injustices, inequalities, casual cruelties, and allow yourself to become angry. And then use that energy to do the right thing. To right the wrongs so the world is a better place for everyone. Exemplified by Terry Pratchett in his Discworld stories.
Description: W. E. B. Du Bois quote: How shall Integrity face Oppression? What shall Honesty do in the face of Deception, Decency in the face of Insult, Self-Defense before Blows? How shall Desert and Accomplishment meet Despising, Detraction, and Lies? What shall Virtue do to meet Brute Force? There are so many answers and so contradictory; and such differences for those on the one hand who meet questions similar to this once a year or once a decade, and those who face them hourly and daily.
