Description: The HQ model replaced the HG Holden. It was the first ground-up redesign of the Holden line since its original release in 1948, and included an all-new body, chassis, and suspension. 'The HQ model Monaro's new coupé design had a much larger rear window and a squarer rear quarter window; it was somehow seen as not as sporty looking compared to the earlier HK-HT-HG series, but is often now considered one of the best looking body designs to come from an Australian manufacturer.' Description: 1965 Valiant AP6 rear end. The next iteration after the AP5. With a more Plymouth Barracuda-esque front grille treatment, the Valiant is becoming a better and better looker! The AP6 was also the first Valiant model to get a V8 option - the 273 cubic inch 'A' series smallblock. Indeed, the Valiant was the first of the "Aussie Big Three" (Chrysler's Valiant, Ford's Falcon, and the Holden) to gain such a choice.
Description: In August 1970, the first ultra-performance Torana, the GTR XU-1, was developed by Holden along with Harry Firth of the Holden Dealer Team for competition in popular Series Production touring car racing within Australia, as well as in off-road rallying and unique rallycross events. However, the highlight purpose of the Torana GTR XU-1 was to keep the Holden brand competitive against the larger and more powerful Ford Falcon GT-HO in the Hardie-Ferodo 500 (Bathurst) endurance race that some consider to be the jewel in the crown of Australian motorsport. Description: Although the Monaro name had survived into 1977 as the HX Monaro GTS sedan, the coupé configuration was no longer in production and Holden decided to delete the Monaro name altogether from the new Holden HZ range. With the development of Radial Tuned Suspension, Holden transformed the bland characteristics of their full-size sedans and introduced a sporting variant called simply Holden GTS. Released on 5 October 1977, this HZ variant featured a four headlight grille, front and rear air dams, four-wheel disc brakes, sports wheels and a 4.2-litre V8 engine as standard equipment. The optional 5.0-litre V8 became standard in June 1978. (wikipedia)
Description: Chooks was originally a well known regional fast food brand named River Rooster. Operations began in Busselton and Margaret River in 1991. River Rooster stores were generally in areas that lacked popular fast food chains – namely Chicken Treat, Red Rooster or KFC. Around 2003, the River Rooster name was dropped. The company felt they were not generating new transactions due to the similarity in brands with other outlets. The company started a competition where customers could submit new names to them for consideration, after which the current Chooks Fresh & Tasty name was adopted. In October 2010, Chooks Fresh & Tasty was acquired by Quick Service Restaurant Holdings, which planned to rebrand the locations as Chicken Treat
