Technology Tapestries
Description: If you were a graphic designer in the early days of desktop publishing, you undoubtedly remember SyQuest. For years SyQuest was the most popular means of transferring large desktop publishing documents to professional printers via large, removable cartridges. SyQuest marketed its products as able to give personal computer users "endless" hard drive space for data-intensive applications. While they were the best of the best in their heyday, they didn't keep up with emerging technologies and were quickly knocked from their perch as competitors ran circles around them. This retro SyQuest tee utilizes their original logo along with just enough wear and tear to make it look like a genuine vintage article.
Description: Vintage Thomas A. Edison Phonograph patent drawing from 1891. This patent is just one of the more than a thousand patents Edison was granted for his inventions. The phonograph was developed as a result of Thomas Edison's work on two other inventions, the telegraph and the telephone. In 1877, Edison was working on a machine that would transcribe telegraphic messages through indentations on paper tape, which could later be sent over the telegraph repeatedly.
