Still a top 5 sketch for me on SNL

He just highlighted Avatar, he clicked the drop down menu, and he just randomly selected papyrus...like a thoughtless child just wandering by a garden, yanking leaves along the way.

If you ever need to hire a graphic designer, ask them what they think about the font Papyrus. If they tell you they don’t like it, walk out and find a better graphic designer.

We certainly are in divisive times, but there seems to be a common thread uniting us. It’s the mutual disdain for the font Papyrus. Papyrus has become the font equivalent of Tessie from Shirley Jackson’s "The Lottery"—it's the font that we’ve all agreed to stone to death. It’s the font we love to hate. My problem is I’ve never been able to figure out why. There’s nothing intrinsically wrong with this typeface. Even though I’ve been told (often by Helvetica adorers nonetheless) that Papyrus is overused or misused, I can’t find any evidence to support those claims. What I do see is laziness (a familiar path that hatred travels). But it's not too late to change. Papyrus can be beautiful.
