Description: After the bombs fell in 2077, the United States was in ashes from nuclear fallout. In the region of Appalachia, people refused to give up, even if they couldn't make it to Vault 76 in time. As the ground grew silent, the Responders were born. A mix of emergency personnel and volunteers began to help others in any way possible. As threats became bigger, special teams were created to douse those flames with either hoses or bullets. Thus, the Fire Breathers were born. Their headquarters is now located in the Charleston Fire Station.

The main plot kicks off on Reclamation Day (Year 2102, roughly 25 years after the nuclear bombs dropped). The vault doors finally open, and you and your fellow vault dwellers are tasked with stepping out into the wasteland to rebuild society.
