Wasp Tapestries
Description: An outrageous design inspired by the raw energy and theatrical chaos of W.A.S.P., one of the most notorious shock rock and heavy metal bands of the 80s. Featuring bold imagery with skulls, blood, and unrelenting stage presence, this artwork perfectly captures the rebellious spirit of metal history. With its vibrant retro colors and over-the-top intensity, it’s both a tribute to classic rock spectacle and a statement of raw power. Ideal for fans of hard rock, glam metal, and outrageous stage antics, this design makes the perfect choice for t-shirts, hoodies, posters, and collectibles. A must-have for anyone who celebrates the wild, shocking, and untamed legacy of rock and roll.
Description: Launched in 1978, the "Wasp" was EDP's best-received product. It was named after its black-and-yellow colour scheme. For cost reasons, it did not have a mechanical keyboard; instead, it used flat conductive copper plates, hidden under a silk-screened vinyl sticker. This alienated some players who thought the instrument lacked the expression present with a real keyboard. Despite these flaws, the Wasp was fairly advanced technologically. It was one of the first commercially available synthesisers to adopt digital technology, which at the time was just beginning to become a standard. It also utilised a proprietary system for connecting several Wasp synthesisers together, predating MIDI by several years.
