Description: he Substance is a 2024 satirical body horror film written, directed, co-edited, and co-produced by Coralie Fargeat. It follows a fading celebrity, Elisabeth Sparkle (Demi Moore) who, after being fired by her producer (Dennis Quaid) due to her age, uses a black market drug that creates a much younger version of herself (Margaret Qualley) with unexpected side effects. An international co-production between France, the United Kingdom, and the United States, the film followed the critical success of Fargeat's first feature film, Revenge. Motivated by societal pressures on women's bodies and aging, she wrote the screenplay in two years with detailed descriptions and minimal dialogue.
Description: When the Global War on Terror (GWOT) popped off in 2001, the troops on the ground would find themselves fueled by an unlikely source in the decades that followed. Wild Tiger was a locally produced energy drink that became a hands-down favorite over the stuff available on base as it helped troops on extended shifts stay awake and alert. It was often referred to as 'liquid cocaine,' and there was a rumor that it contained nicotine, but that was proven to be false. The high-octane drink actually contains nicotinic acid, also known as Vitamin B3 or niacin, so the rumor that it contained nicotine was a misconception.
